Welcome to Arkansas Family Health Foundation

Providing for the least, the last, and the lost in your community

Arkansas Family Health Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of ARcare. Founded in 1986, ARcare is a private nonprofit corporation that provides medical and dental care for the residents of Arkansas, regardless of their ability to pay. ARcare started with a single clinic in Augusta and has since expanded throughout the state with more than 34 locations, including primary care clinics, dental clinics, pharmacies and wellness centers. ARcare has been a Baptist Health affiliate since 1996. Through gifts to the Arkansas Family Health Foundation, ARcare is empowered to address social concerns such as hunger, literacy, early childhood learning, mental health, dental heath and AIDS/HIV. We do this by fostering and funding education, wellness, economic development, and transportation-related initiatives throughout Arkansas.

The Arkansas Family Health Foundation is actively working on several major projects, including the  ARcare Center for Education & Wellness and ARcare Cancer Care. To learn more about fundraising and awareness campaigns for these projects and all our initiatives, visit News and Events.

We are excited to be involved in our communities and strive to promote healthy lifestyles for everyone regardless of their situation in life. If you are considering making a donation to Arkansas Family Health Foundation, please know you will be impacting literacy, helping to provide food for the hungry, and providing high-quality healthcare for the least, the last, and the lost in your community. Whether it’s a one-time donation or a payroll deduction, any amount you give will help. All donations are tax deductible.

Arkansas Family Health Foundation is the nonprofit corporate philanthropic organization that funds ARcare, a community healthcare network providing affordable medical and dental care to residents in rural Arkansas. We also offer an outreach literacy program and an early learning center for ages 5 and younger. Through our 34 ARcare Clinic locations, we encourage economic growth by creating new job opportunities. Opened in 2012, the ARcare Center for Education & Wellness and the ARcare Pediatric Medical Clinic began the mission of combating obesity, providing food for the hungry and eliminating illiteracy across the Arkansas Delta. Through our future ARcare Cancer Center, our patients will have the best cancer treatment close to home. We offer several ways you can help support the rural communities through a one-time donation, payroll deduction, volunteer opportunities, participation in the ARcare Shakespeare Festival or our Buy a Brick campaign to honor a loved one.
