Arkansas Family Health Foundation’s Commitment to Rural Arkansas Communities

Arkansas Family Health Foundation believes all Arkansans deserve wellness throughout their lives. Our mission is to give them everything they need to achieve this.
Ensuring wellness for all Arkansans starts with giving them a financial foundation. The Arkansas Family Health Foundation thus makes economic development a central part of our health and wellness efforts. We offer a range of resources for people from all walks of life who seek to get a job, improve their skills, or earn higher incomes for their families. Through a combination of individual attention and broader community support, we spread economic opportunities far and wide.
Our efforts to promote economic development go hand in hand with our education initiatives. The Foundation collects education donations from a range of sources, using them to fund scholarships and other resources that help people continue learning. We also provide community outreach programs that educate Arkansans about health, illness, and medication. Through these efforts, we arm the people of Arkansas with the information they need to take care of themselves while giving them a chance to learn new skills and advance their careers.
In addition to educating Arkansans about health and medical care, we provide this care directly. We administer cancer treatments, diabetes management, preventative care, and a range of other medical services across Arkansas. We focus on communities that have frequently lacked access to quality medical services, including underserved rural areas and homeless shelters in Little Rock. We recognize that transportation is often a barrier to getting good health care, which is why we organize van rides for people in remote areas who would otherwise have trouble reaching us. No matter where you are or what your needs may be, we’ll get you the care you require.
Arkansas Family Health Foundation offers myriad opportunities to volunteer in Arkansas. We also collect tax deductible donations and give you clear information about what these donations are going to. Whether you need health, education, or economic support or want to extend those benefits to others, contact the Foundation today.

Arkansas Family Health Foundation is the nonprofit corporate philanthropic organization that funds ARcare, a community healthcare network providing affordable medical and dental care to residents in rural Arkansas. We also offer an outreach literacy program and an early learning center for ages 5 and younger. Through our 34 ARcare Clinic locations, we encourage economic growth by creating new job opportunities. Opened in 2012, the ARcare Center for Education & Wellness and the ARcare Pediatric Medical Clinic began the mission of combating obesity, providing food for the hungry and eliminating illiteracy across the Arkansas Delta. Through our future ARcare Cancer Center, our patients will have the best cancer treatment close to home. We offer several ways you can help support the rural communities through a one-time donation, payroll deduction, volunteer opportunities, participation in the ARcare Shakespeare Festival or our Buy a Brick campaign to honor a loved one.
